We are heading closer and closer to some epic events in the next half of the year. In our June 2023 Sport Preview we introduced the start of the Ashes and the Comrades Marathon saw some smashed records which was amazing to see.

The Ashes 2023: With the 1st and 2nd test done and dusted we have the 3rd test from 6-10 July. Then 4th test from 19-23 July and lastly the 5th test from 27-31 July 2023.

Tour de France

The ever popular cycle race is back and starts on 1 July to 23 July and is a 3600km race in total. US Women’s Open

Pebble Beach in California is set to host its first U.S. Women’s Golf Open 6-9 July 2023. This is part of the LPGA Tour and will be the 78th US Women’s Open. This year has seen record breaking entries which surpassed 2 000. It is also the 3rd of five women’s golf majors in 2023.

And we are off! The start of the run up to the Rugby World Cup 2023. The Championship will be shorter this year due to the RWC however it will still be great matches to watch and support. Here are the dates to keep in your calendar:

The British Open

The 2023 Open Championship is officially the 151st Open Championship. This is a golf tournament to be played 20–23 July 2023 at Royal Liverpool Golf Club in England. The field is also made up of 156 players. The Genesis Scottish Open also takes place 13-16 July 2023 at The Renaissance Club.

The Festival of Cricket 2023

The 2023 Festival of Cricket, a celebration of all things cricket, will take place during the peak of the English summer, on the weekend in between two Ashes Test matches. The three-day event, takes place from July 14–16, 2023, in west London’s Gunnersbury Park. And hosted by cricketing greats Eoin Morgan, Jos Buttler, and Brendon McCullum.
