What a year for sports this year has been! The world was still playing catch up after the pandemic hit and trying to squeeze in all the missed events longed for by so many fans. And it was an exciting year for sure. From the 2021 Sun Met, Guinness 6 Nations, Tour De France, Wimbledon, Rugby Autumn Internationals to the controversial Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022.
Furthermore November 2022 sport preview saw the start of some epic events. Therefore in our December 2022 Sport Preview we cover all main sport events for December and will close the sport previews for 2022 on a high note.
Ongoing Sport Events
The Qatar FIFA World Cup started on 21 November 2022 and there have already been quite a few unexpected upsets! Firstly Saudi Arabia beat Argentina, then Japan beat the firm favourites Germany and USA kept England at bay at 0-0. Morocco beat Belgium and Iran beat Wales in another shocker. So what else is going to happen?

The world’s most iconic basketball team are back and ready to dazzle fans in Mannheim with their skills in the Spread Game Tour which will be on 1 December 2022.

NFL

Fury Vs Chisora
Tyson Fury puts his WBC heavyweight title on the line this weekend when he meets Derek Chisora in the ring for a third time at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Furthermore the duo squared off in 2011 and 2014, with the Fury emerging victorious in both encounters. However Chisora comes into the bout on the back of arguably his best win to date, a split decision victory over Kubrat Pulev in July. Which means he will be confident he can pull off the upset of the year. So lets see!
EuroHockey Indoor Championships
The EuroHockey Indoor Championships are European indoor field hockey competitions in both men’s and women’s classifications organised by the European Hockey Federation. It will take place 7 December 2022 – 11 December 2022 in Hamburg.
South Africa Tour Australia
The South African national cricket team are touring Australia in December 2022 and January 2023. So this is the first time since 2008-09 to play three matches and three ODI’s. They start with a warm up match on 9 December 2022 in Brisbane and then the following dates:
- 1st Test: 17-21 December 2022 in Brisbane
- 2nd Test: 26-30 December 2022 in Melbourne
- 3rd Test: 4-8 January 2023 in Sydney
However the ODI’s have been forfeited due to them clashing with the new domestic T20 League.
