How to Play

The game starts with the dealer drawing the first card. A player must then decide if the Joker card’s face value will be drawn in the Andar or the Bahar zones.

There are two zones in the game. These are Andar and Bahar.

The presenter starts by dealing the first card from the deck face-up into the dedicated zone, this card is the Joker.

The Joker card’s colour is used to determine which zone draws the next card.

If the Joker card’s suit is black (Clubs or Spades) then the second card will be dealt to Andar. If the Joker card’s suit is red (Diamonds or Hearts), then second card will be dealt to Bahar.

The second card is only drawn when the order of play has been established.

If the second card was dealt to the Andar zone, third card shall be dealt to the Bahar zone. The game continues with the third and following cards dealt one by one to the two zones.

The round ends when either Andar or Bahar gets a card which matches the Joker card’s value.

Andar Bahar – Game Review Summary

Andar Bahar is a traditional card game from India which in this digital instance kept most of its original elements.  The game should be well know in parts of SA.

The studio and dealers, as we have come to love from Betgames, don’t disappoint either and adds a great feeling of playing against real live dealers to the game. For players with a slow internet connection, click the camera icon and select to switch to the graphical interface off.

We had no difficulty understanding the game or any of its betting types. There is also a short video available that shows you how to play Andar Bahar. The help file also contains all the finer details should you need these.

We had fun reviewing the game as well as playing it and do think that the game will do well in South Africa as well as the wider world. Easy to play, no complicated bet types or multiple rounds to deal with.
