Springbok’s Fixtures 2025
Rugby supporters will be happy to hear that the Springbok’s 2025 calendar is jam packed with International matches. The Boks are ranked number one in the world followed by New Zealand.
This year’s SA Rugby Fixtures has the Boks playing 15 matches in total, making it their second busiest year in history. Last year saw the Amabhokobhoko bring home the Rugby Championship trophy and not lose a match on their European tour. The Springboks played a total of 13 international matches losing only two against Ireland and Argentina. Fans eagerly anticipate the Springbok Fixtures this year.
One of the most exciting matches on the Springbok’s calendar is their opening match against the Barbarians on the 28th of June. The venue for this match still needs to be confirmed. The last time the two teams met was in 2017 where the match ended in a draw. The Barbarians feature players from around the world, selected for their performance both on and off the field, as well as their availability. Australian Eddie Jones currently coaches the team. The British and Irish Lions, who is another invitational team, will be on tour this year, playing against Argentina and Australia.
Opening Boks Fixtures
The Springboks will host Italy for two matches in June to ease into the season. They will play their opening match at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on the 5th of July. The two teams then travel to Gqeberha for their second clash at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on the 12th July.
Four years have passed since the Boks last played at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in 2021 during a previous Springbok Fixtures cycle. The Bokke will play another test match in June against Georgia in Nelspruit at the Mbombela Stadium on the 19th of June.
The 2025 Rugby Championship
The Rugby Championship is the biggest tournament on the cards for our national rugby team this year. Rassie will want to make this year a whitewash. After winning both matches against the All Blacks and Wallabies but losing a match to Argentina by one point last year, he aims for perfection in the Springbok Fixtures.
South Africa hosts Australia on the first leg of the Championship. Ellis Park in Johannesburg will set the backdrop for the first match on the 16th of August. Teams will then make their way to Cape Town for the kick off of the second match on the 23rd of August.
The team will then travel to New Zealand for two matches against the All Blacks. The first match is at Eden Park in Auckland on the 6th of September. Wellington’s Sky Stadium will host the final showdown of these two giants for 2025. The second match is on the 13th of September. The Bokke came out victors in their last two encounters.
Playing Argentina will be the last two matches of the Rugby Championship for South Africa. The Pumas will travel to meet the Boks at Kings Park in Durban on the 27th of September. Both sides will then travel to London, where the countries will meet for the final match of the Rugby Championship at Twickenham on the 4th of October. Fans can look forward to these crucial Springbok Fixtures.
November Tour
The Boks will play the four remaining matches for the year in Europe. They take on France in Paris at the Stade de France on the 8th of November. Rassie and the boys will then head on to Italy for the third match of the year between the two teams. The kickoff will take place in Turin’s Allianz Stadium on the 15th of November. These tours once again feature as part of the Springbok Fixtures for the end of the year tour.
Ireland beat SA in the last match between the two teams. They had a strong performance at the Six Nations finishing third earlier this year. The Shamrocks will be relishing the opportunity to take on the Boks. The game will be in Dublin at the Aviva Stadium on the 22nd of November.
Cardiff will be the host city for the Springbok’s last match for the year as they take on Wales. The final match for the year will be on the 29th of November. Fans will not want to miss these Springbok Fixtures.
The URC finishes in June which will give rugby enthusiasts a weekend off before the Springboks start the season. Will Rassie win all 15 matches this year? Our betting partners have the best odds on all the URC matches as well as the upcoming Springbok matches.
