It was a touchdown for the 2025 NFL season that started last weekend as the first matches of the new season took place. The 2024 NFL season ended earlier this year at the Super Bowl when the Philadelphia Eagles took the cup against Kansas City Chiefs. The NFL has been around since 1920.
The competition is a combination of the American Football League and American Professional Football Association, who merged in the seventies to create the NFL. The NFL now consists of two different conferences known as the American Football Conference and the National Football Conference. The winners of each conference compete in the Super Bowl which is the final match of the NFL.

The NFL is the most valuable league in the world even when compared to football leagues in Europe. The league generates a whopping 20 billion dollars in revenue each year compared to the English Premier League which only generates about half of that. The Dallas Cowboys is the world’s most valuable team valued at just over 9 billion dollars.
The Super Bowl is America’s biggest sporting fixture. Over 120 million Americans watch the event, while 200 million tune in globally.
