Andorra Epic 2024
Imagine zooming down exciting trails through wild forests. Massive mountains surround you, ready to test you with their raw beauty. The Andorra MTB Classic-Pyrenees enters its third edition and establishes itself as a pure mountain bike test in the Pyrenees. This event offers a true MTB adventure, promising excitement, adrenaline, and multiple rewards for adventure-seeking two-person teams.
All of this unfolds against the stunning backdrop of the Pyrenees’ beauty and intensity. This year’s Andorra Epic 2024 course promises to be even better, featuring more thrilling singletracks, tougher climbs, amazing views, and more opportunities to conquer the Pyrenees.
Andorra Epic Details
The 2024 Andorra Epic Pyrenees will deliver an exhilarating challenge for mountain biking enthusiasts. This year’s race spans 200 kilometers, with a thrilling 7,600 meters of descent and a demanding 6,400 meters of ascent. Over four days, riders will navigate Andorra’s iconic trails, start and finish in La Massana, and push themselves to earn their place in the Epic Legend club.
Smuggler’s Singletracks
Stage 1 is set for Wednesday, 3 July 2024. The opening stage introduces riders to the rugged terrain with 42 kilometers of intense singletracks. They will experience equal parts climbing and descent, setting the tone for the days to come. The start and finish will be La Massana.
The Iron Route
Stage 2 will follow on Thursday, 4 July 2024. On the second day, participants will tackle the Iron Route, covering 46 kilometers with more descent than climbing. They will experience an adrenaline-pumping 1960 meters of descent. Start is from Pal / Arinsal and the finish at La Massana.
The Hors Categorie Stage
Stage 3 is set for Friday, 5 July 2024. Stage three, known as the Hors Categorie Stage, is the toughest. Riders will cover 61 kilometers, tackle 2290 meters of climbing, and descend 2440 meters, testing even the most seasoned participants. The Start is from Canillo and the Finish at La Massana.
Natural Paradise
Stage 4 is on Saturday, 6 July 2024. Stage 4 is known as Natural Paradise, the last push in a beautiful back drop with a distance of 51 kilometers, climbing the last 1280 meters and then descending the last 160 meters. Thus the last Start is from Naturland and the Finish for the last time at La Massana.
Final Andorra Epic Stage
The final stage, Natural Paradise, challenges riders with a thrilling 51-kilometer route that climbs 1280 meters and descends 1650 meters, all through the stunning landscapes of Naturland.
This year’s Andorra Epic 2024 Pyrenees delivers an unforgettable adventure, blending jaw dropping scenery with a tough test of endurance and skill. Switzerland, August 20-24, 2024.Over five thrilling days, cyclists zoom through the Swiss Alps, conquering 341 kilometers of scenic mountain trails and climbing a staggering 11,400 meters in elevation.

South Africa, November 1-10, 2024. This three-day race covers 200 kilometers with 4,500 meters of ascent, crossing South Africa’s wine region from vineyards to coastal trails.
Cape Epic
South Africa, March 16-23, 2025. Riders tackle 700 kilometers and 16,000 meters of ascent over eight days in South Africa’s challenging terrain.
4Islands MTB Croatia
Croatia, April 15-19, 2025. Five-day island-hopping adventure in Croatia! Participants will pedal 272 kilometers, conquering 6,210 meters of elevation gain while enjoying the stunning Mediterranean landscapes.
Champions Circle
Four standout riders in Epic Series! They’ve conquered some of the toughest races, showcasing their exceptional skills as well as determination:
- Minter Barnard: He conquered the Absa Cape Epic twice, in 2011 and 2019, showing incredible endurance on South Africa’s rugged terrain. He also triumphed in the SPAR Swiss Epic in 2018 and tackled The Pioneer event in 2016.
- Haley van Leeuwen: She showed her mountain biking prowess with victories at the Absa Cape Epic in 2018 as well as the SPAR Swiss Epic the same year. She dominated The Pioneer in 2017 and 2018, consistently demonstrating top-notch performance and skill.
- Alan Gordon: He made his mark on the Absa Cape Epic with wins in 2016 and 2019. He excelled in the SPAR Swiss Epic in 2018 and tackled The Pioneer event the same year, showcasing his versatility and determination on challenging terrain.
- Timothy Hammond: He boasts a remarkable track record, with consecutive wins at the Absa Cape Epic from 2016 to 2018, highlighting his endurance as well as consistency. He also triumphed in the SPAR Swiss Epic in 2018 and 2019, as well as The Pioneer event in 2018, solidifying his place among endurance mountain biking’s elite.
