December 2024 Sport Preview

Ongoing Sport Events
Formula 1: For more details on the F1 season read our F1 Season Update, also there is only one race left in December. So be sure not to miss the Abu Dhabi race on 8 December at Yas Marina. This last race is 58 laps and the circuit length is 5.28km.
URC: South Africa’s URC teams are set to deliver nail-biting clashes as they continue their campaign against top European clubs. With the Stormers, Bulls, Sharks, as well as Lions all vying for dominance, expect intense rivalries and electrifying performances on home soil and abroad. December Soccer Update
EPL: The following are the current standings for the Premier League 2024–2025, which is ongoing.. Liverpool has 34 points in 1st, followed now by Arsenal with 25 points. Chelsea has moved into 3rd with 25 points, Brighton is in 4th with 23 points. And in 5th you will find Man City with 23 points.
PSL: Orlando Pirates have dropped into 2nd place with 21 points and Mamelodi Sundowns have jumped to 1st with 21 points as well with just the goal difference separating the 2. In 3rd we have Stellenbosch with 15 points, Chippa United in 4th with 14 points and Polokwane City in 5th with 14 points.
LaLiga: Barcelona is in 1st with 34 points, Real Madrid in a close 2nd with 33 points. Atletico Madrid is in 3rd place with 32 points, Athletic Club in 4th with 26 points. And in 5th we also have Villarreal with 26 points.
Banyana Banyana: Next up they will face Jamaica on 3 December 2024 after facing off on 30 November with 3 goals to 0. Therefore keep supporting the women’s team and be part of their journey to the Morocco Tournament.
Protea Cricket Dates
Men’s Team:
- Proteas vs. Sri Lanka (5 December – 9 December 2024) at Dafabet St Georges Park, Ggeberha.
- Proteas vs. Pakistan (December 10, 13 & 14): These matches will be taking place in Durban, Centurion as well as Joburg.
- Proteas vs. Pakistan (December 17, 19, 22) at Paarl, WSB Newlands as well as Joburg.
- Proteas vs. Pakistan (December 26, 27,28, 29 & 30), all these ODI’s will be at Supersport Park, Centurion.
Women’s Team:
- Proteas vs. England (December 4, 8 and 11) all these are being played at the Diamond Oval and Kingsmead.
- Proteas vs. England (December 15 – 18) at Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein.
HSBC 7s
- Dubai, UAE: November 30–December 1, 2024
The HSBC SVNS 2025 Series kicked off in Dubai, a venue known for its festive atmosphere! The event promised high-paced matches under the desert sun, and did not disappoint! This is the 1st time in 5 years that the Blitzboks have not walked away triumphant. Fiji walked away with the spoils for the men’s and Australia won the final for the women. - Cape Town, South Africa: December 7–8, 2024
Cape Town, with its iconic Table Mountain backdrop, offers one of the most thrilling stops on the world rugby sevens series. Fans can expect a vibrant mix of rugby as well as local culture. Can the Blitzbokke go all the way for the fans in Cape Town?
PDC World Championship at Alexandra Palace
The festive season means only one thing for darts fans: the PDC World Championship. Hosted at the iconic Alexandra Palace in London, this tournament brings together the world’s best darts players. Known for its raucous atmosphere and top-tier competition, December sees early-round matchups that are often full of surprises. Whether you’re cheering for the reigning champion or a promising underdog, this event is a highlight for any sports betting enthusiast. Tournament is running from 15 December 2024 to 3 January 2025.
