Relegated and Promoted Teams in the EPL 2025
Each year, the league relegates the three teams that finish at the bottom of the log to keep the competition fresh and competitive. For the 2025/2026 season, Leeds United, Burnley, and Sunderland have earned promotion.
The story of Leicester City’s run in the Premier League is the stuff of movies. Leicester City had one of the most impressive title runs in recent memory when the team came from nowhere at the beginning of the season in 2015 to lift the title in 2016. The team failed to finish in the top five in the following years and faced relegation in 2022. LC FC earned promotion to the EPL again in 2023 but suffered another relegation this season after finishing at the bottom of the log. Leicester City drops alongside Ipswich and Southampton, who were also relegated this season.
Teams Worth a Bet
It is not surprising that Liverpool is one of the teams to be favoured to win by pundits. Dutch coach Arne Slot will be hoping that his team can repeat last year’s performance. The club spent the most out of all the clubs this summer, spending just under 300 million Pounds. The new players will bolster the team who looked a bit sluggish at the end of last season.
Manchester City is another club which is worth a bet before the start of the season. Man City finished third on the scoreboard but had finished in style winning all of their last five matches in the season. The team has signed six new players this season giving their team the needed depth in the squad.
Arsenal finished second in the English Premier League 2024/2025 season. The team had a solid performance in the EPL and UEFA Champions League where they managed to end third. The Gunners has reportedly spent around 208 million Pounds on new players in the summer.
Chelsea finished fourth on the log in the 2024/2025 EPL season. The club spent 218 million Pounds on acquiring new players. Jamie Gittens, João Pedro and Jorrel Hato join the Blues in the upcoming season.

The English Premier League consists of 38 Matchdays with the first one taking place this weekend.
The first match of the season is between Liverpool and Bournemouth on Friday 15 August in the evening at 21:00 at Anfield. Liverpool has a win probability of 75%.

- Chelsea kicks off their season against Crystal Palace at 15:00.
- Nottingham Forest versus Brentford @ 15:00.
- Arsenal play Manchester United for the last match on Sunday @ 17:30.
Leeds United will face Everton in the last Matchday 1 fixture on Monday at 21:00.
